  1. Happy Halloween (belated) right back to you, JoAnn!

Better yet, let this be a down payment on spooky chills building over the next 364 days.

Oh, and let me be the first (and only) one to wish you a happy All Saints Day. Did you carve, you know, your All Saints coconut?

    1. Yes to the spooky chills building… I’m missing it already. Trying to muster the energy to get excited about rest of the holiday season. Normally the transition is pretty easy but this year is just an anomaly in so many numerous ways, isn’t it?

Perhaps the upcoming election will bring much needed hope to all of us!

I’ve never actually tried to carve a coconut myself although I’ve carved enough pumpkins to know that I’d much rather admire the skill and artistry that other people have.

Hope you had a great Halloween!

      1. What brought images to mind of carved coconuts, JoAnn, was your own gallery a little while back celebrating so much coconutted glory. Among the wonders was a “jack-o-lantern” carved coconut on a beach, if I recall.

Gosh darn it, somewhere on this planet one of our species (at least) has taught herself how to do that with a coconut.

Until I learn the secrets too, I’ll be inconsolable!

        1. So many of our fellow humans have amazing abilities to do astonishingly awesome things. Of course there also exists the exact opposite in certain humans who exhibit completely deplorable behavior. It’s perplexing to wrap your head around.

So ecstatic that we have stuff like carved coconuts to help tip the scale toward human greatness!
